Maple Lane

Maple Lane, owned by Howard M. Yoder, breeds Percheron horses in Middlebury, IN, northern Indiana near Fort Wayne. It is a family-run farm that has bred horses for more than a decade and maintains membership in the American Percheron Society, taking part in performance evaluations and regional welfare audits.

Its horses are raised on open pasture with access to a well-ventilated barn and individual stalls, and turnout is scheduled daily to support muscle development. The farm follows equine health screenings and genetic testing recommended by industry guidelines and works with a local veterinarian to monitor nutritional plans. Every foal is introduced to grooming and leading exercises within the first month to nurture confidence and trust.

Bloodlines trace back to established French studs and the owner attends regional Percheron gatherings each year. Several graduates have been noted for their calm temperaments in local draft events.
