Ledgerwood Gelbvieh raises registered gelbvieh cattle in Clarkston, Washington, in the rolling hills of southeastern Washington near the Idaho border, roughly 30 miles south of Pullman. Samee Ledgerwood and her operation have been members of the American Gelbvieh Association since 2005, and the program earned AGA Breeder of the Year honors in 2016.

The herd runs alongside a commercial cow-calf operation, giving the program a practical, producer-focused perspective on what genetics actually perform in the field.
