Lana Luitjohan

Lana Luitjohan is a Percheron breeder in Alma, Illinois, southern Illinois near St. Louis. She has been raising gentle Percheron horses for more than a decade and maintains membership in national draft horse associations with routine health screenings for all of her breeding stock. Her horses are raised on pasture and receive daily handling to encourage calm temperaments and strong bonds with handlers.

Her Percherons have competed at regional plowing matches and earned ribbons for steady performance. The farm features a heritage barn built on land that has housed draft horses for generations. Colt prospects receive groundwork training from a young age to foster adaptability for riding and farm work. All foals undergo veterinary checks and regular farrier visits to support healthy development of joints and hooves. The horses enjoy rotational grazing on nutrient-rich pastures and are accustomed to both field turnout and stall rest as needed.
