Joy James

Joy James is a Percheron breeder in Fremont, OH, northwest Ohio near Toledo. With more than a decade of breeding experience, she follows national registry guidelines and schedules routine veterinary health evaluations for every horse.

Foals are born in a family-run barn and spend their first months in pasture with daily handling to encourage calm temperaments and strong social bonds. Each horse benefits from open paddocks, regular farrier care and a nutrition plan based on quality forage. Daily turnout in open meadow and cozy stalls at night ensure both exercise and rest. Adults rotate through well-managed fields and receive individualized training for light draft or driving disciplines.

Her small herd of broodmares allows for focused attention and early handling to foster trust and confidence. Several of her Percherons have since been invited to local parades and community events, demonstrating their gentle nature and versatility.
