Jim Dolwick

Jim Dolwick, Percheron horses, Hebron, KY, Boone County and the Ohio River Valley near Cincinnati. He has been breeding Percheron horses for more than a decade and holds membership in the Percheron Horse Association of America, with routine health evaluations for soundness, temperament and conformation.

The farm follows pasture-based living with daily turnout, natural forage and stall access during inclement weather, while early handling introduces foals to gentle human contact and basic training. Several of the draft horses have competed in regional pulling and driving events, reflecting an emphasis on strength, steady disposition and versatility under saddle or harness.

Young stock and retired mares share spacious paddocks, where herd dynamics teach social skills in a low-stress setting supported by consistent farrier work and dental exams. The farm has been in the family for generations, and each foal is introduced to the barn routine with individualized attention from experienced handlers.
