Jewelspride Bengals raises TICA-registered bengal cats on a five-acre hobby farm in south Langley, British Columbia, about a half-hour southeast of Vancouver. Carmen Klassen grew up on that same property, which her family has worked since the early 1970s — first with cattle, then with an assortment of rabbits, ducks, chickens, peacocks, and organic blueberries. After returning from university, Carmen and her husband Sam settled on the farm permanently, and it has been the family home ever since.

The cattery is very much a family operation: three generations take part in the daily care of the cats, with Carmen's mother Lucy working alongside Carmen and Sam. Kittens are hand-raised within the home, which shapes their early socialization in a domestic setting surrounded by open fields and mountain views.

Jewelspride's breeding focus centers on structure and pattern that aligns closely with the TICA bengal breed standard, with particular attention to wild-type head profiles, large rosetted markings, and overall conformation. The program has brought in stud lines from other established catteries, including international bloodlines sourced from breeders in the Czech Republic. The family also participates in TICA cat shows, giving their cats — and buyers interested in bengal kittens in British Columbia — a chance to see how the program's cats measure up in a competitive hall setting.
