James P. Mast

James P. Mast, Percheron horses, Middlefield, OH in Geauga County in northeastern Ohio near Cleveland. He has been breeding Percheron horses for more than a decade and follows breed registry guidelines with regular veterinary health screenings. He is a member of the Percheron Horse Association of America and takes part in regional farm and agricultural events.

The horses are raised on pasture and experience daily turnout alongside well-socialized herdmates. Stalls are bedded with straw and the breeding stock receives individualized nutrition plans based on workload and condition.

James’s family farm has hosted local draft horse demonstrations and his calm, steady draft horses are often used for driving and farm work. Prospective owners appreciate the gentle temperaments and strong conformation that result from careful selection and hands-on training from foalhood. Each foal receives early handling and basic groundwork to foster adaptability and confidence.
