Adkins started in the cattle business in Ringwood in 1991 and has grown the operation across multiple farms since then, returning to Oklahoma in 2019 and renaming the ranch after the Indian Creek waterway that runs through the property.

The program runs an extensive artificial insemination program alongside natural service, and all bulls and herd sires are selected to meet the ranch's standards for performance and economic traits. Sire selection emphasizes tenderness, marbling, carcass value, and feedlot merit, while the program simultaneously keeps birth weight, weaning weight, yearling weight, milk production, and fertility in balance rather than chasing any single-trait trend.

Ultrasound and DNA testing are used to verify that cattle are meeting carcass benchmarks, giving buyers of Gelbvieh cattle in Oklahoma a seedstock source with documented performance data.
