Hyclass Pugs

Hyclass Pugs raises CKC-registered pugs in Summerland, British Columbia, in the heart of the Okanagan Valley — about an hour south of Kelowna. The program is run by Carole Walker and Courtney Penner, and their approach centers on breeding for quality over quantity, typically producing only one or two litters per year so each pairing is purposeful.

The kennel's foundation stock carries American and Canadian champion bloodlines, and the dogs have earned notable recognition in the show ring, including a ranking of #1 pug in Canada by breed points in 2022. Hyclass maintains that pug puppies in BC bred to the CKC standard should reflect only the recognized fawn and black color varieties, and the program will not place dogs with brokers or those pursuing designer crosses.

Every puppy leaves fully vet-certified, up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed, and microchipped, with a complete five-generation pedigree and a written purchase agreement. Puppies are raised in the home environment and must be picked up in person rather than shipped as cargo.
