Hudson's Smoky Valley

Hudson's Smoky Valley, Percheron horses, Kanopolis, KS, is set in central Kansas near Wichita. The farm has been breeding Percherons for over 20 years and maintains American Percheron Horse Association registrations along with routine health screening for joint issues and overall soundness.

Its pastures are rotationally grazed and the horses receive daily handling from foaling onward to ensure calm temperaments and strong human bonds. Stall areas are spacious with ample natural light, reflecting a hands-on approach that combines traditional farm methods with practical comfort. A recent review highlighted the farm’s gentle weanlings as especially well-adjusted and ready for a variety of riding disciplines.

Bob and Judy Hudson established the farm on family land that has supported horse breeding since the early 1900s, preserving a multigenerational passion for Percherons.
