Hill Country Pugs

Hill Country Pugs, based in Llano, TX, has been raising and showing pugs in the Texas Hill Country for nearly two decades, with the program rooted in show-ring competition that Kristy Ratliff pursued after attending her first AKC conformation event in 2004.

Kristy and Kevin Ratliff are members of the Pug Dog Club of America and hold AKC Breeders of Merit status, with the program following PDCA breeding guidelines. Health testing is a central part of the operation, including PDE susceptibility testing on all dogs prior to breeding. The kennel has produced multiple nationally recognized show dogs, among them a pug widely cited as the most titled in the history of the breed.

Companion puppies from the program are placed on spay/neuter contracts, and each litter is evaluated carefully before any puppies are offered to pet homes.
