Harmony Pugs

Harmony Pugs breeds fawn and black pugs in Burnet, Texas, a small Hill Country town near the Highland Lakes region, roughly an hour northwest of Austin. Susan Kurn, the breeder behind the program, approaches the work as a preservation breeder, with the goal of upholding the AKC breed standard rather than simply producing pets.

Each litter is planned with show quality in mind, and the program has produced AKC champion pugs. Puppies that do not meet show criteria are placed in permanent companion homes on a spay/neuter contract, and on occasion adult dogs and retired champions become available to approved homes as well.
