Habitat Farm

Habitat Farm is a Clun forest sheep breeder in Falkland, BC, in the Columbia-Shuswap near Salmon Arm. It has worked with Clun forest sheep for more than a decade, and it participates in the national sheep breeders association while ensuring flock health through regular screenings. Animals live on rotationally grazed pastures and enjoy daily handling in a small-flock setting that supports natural flock dynamics.

The farm occupies a heritage property maintained by Dennis Lapierre, whose experience in animal husbandry brings a thoughtful approach to each stage from lambing to shearing. Fleece quality has been praised for soft density and consistent staple length, reflecting the farm’s emphasis on natural fiber production. The flock’s calm temperament makes routine care a smooth and low-stress experience for both animals and caretakers.
