H & K's

H & K's, Percheron horses, Bloomfield, IA, are a family operation in southeast Iowa near Des Moines. Herman Gingerich and Kenneth Gingerich have spent more than a decade refining bloodlines and conduct routine health screening through recognized breed registries.

Foals grow in open pastures and receive daily turnout alongside older horses to support early socialization and muscle development. Stalls are cleaned twice daily and nutritional plans are tailored to each horse’s growth stage and workload. The ranch sits on land cultivated by the Gingerich family for three generations, lending a quiet setting that suits draft horse work.
