Gun Plain Pygoras

Gun Plain Pygoras raises registered pygora goats in Plainwell, Michigan, situated in the greater Kalamazoo area of southwest Michigan. Nanette Nichols has been breeding pygoras on the farm for over 13 years, with a program that spans does, bucks, and wethers — all of which are microchipped, vaccinated, and registered with the Pygora Breeders Association before leaving the farm.

The herd carries a history of show recognition at the Michigan Fiber Festival, where animals from Gun Plain Pygoras have earned reserve champion titles across multiple years. Foundation does with award-winning B-type fleeces have shaped the current breeding stock, and the program maintains pygora goats for sale in Michigan with an eye toward quality fiber production across fleece types.

Beyond live animals, the farm processes its fleeces through small custom mills and offers pygora yarn and roving sourced directly from the herd. Fiber is handled in its natural, undyed state and dehaired before being made available to hand-spinners and fiber artists.
