Great Lakes, Percheron horses, Remus, MI, is in the Central Michigan region near Mount Pleasant. Daniel Yoder has been breeding Percheron horses for over a decade and maintains membership in the American Percheron Horse Association. All breeding stock undergoes regular health evaluations, including hoof, joint, and cardiovascular assessments to support enduring performance.

Each foal is raised in spacious pasture settings with daily human handling aimed at fostering a calm, confident temperament. Barn facilities feature roomy stalls, turnout paddocks, and a dedicated round pen for groundwork and early training. Nutrition follows a balanced regimen of pasture, hay, and mineral supplements, while veterinary partnerships guide vaccination schedules and routine dental care. Several Great Lakes horses have placed in regional draft horse shows and earned praise from visitors for their gentle demeanor, reflecting the farm’s focus on strength, soundness, and versatility.
