Goldleaf Mastiffs

Goldleaf Mastiffs raises mastiffs in Sparta, Tennessee, in the Upper Cumberland region of the state, about an hour east of Nashville. Jann and Mark Lanz carry forward a program whose Goldleaf line was established over 30 years ago by their friend and mentor, Bob Goldblatt, whose dogs form the foundation of the breeding stock they work with today.

The program's focus is on soundness across three areas: physical structure, temperament, and overall health. Dogs are OFA health tested, and the kennel maintains longevity certificates as part of its commitment to long-term breed health. The Goldleaf dogs have also competed in conformation, with champions such as Ch. Goldleaf's Big Nugget and Ch. Goldleaf Vegas Showgirl among the dogs representing the program in the show ring, as well as participation in lure coursing.
