Golden G Ranch

Golden G Ranch raises Brahman cattle outside of Skidmore, Texas, in Bee County along the South Texas Coastal Bend, roughly an hour north of Corpus Christi. Carl Glass Jr. carries on a ranching tradition that reaches back to 1941, making him a third-generation cattleman in the family line.

Carl and his family have been working with Brahman cattle since 1996 and have operated from their current location since 2000, when the ranch took on its present name. That deep familiarity with the breed and the land underpins their approach to raising both commercial and registered stock.

The operation shifted intentionally toward registered Brahman cattle starting around 2015, transitioning the cow herd from commercial animals to registered cows and replacing Hereford bulls with registered Brahman bulls.
