Excel Ranches has been raising purebred Limousin cattle near Westlock, Alberta, since 1986, when Ron and Barb Miller founded the operation in the Westlock County region of northern Alberta, roughly an hour north of Edmonton. What began as a focused seedstock program has grown across four decades into a multi-generational ranch, with Cody and Amy Miller now working alongside the founders to keep the family tradition going.

The ranch carries a herd built around purebred Limousin genetics and also raises purebred Red Angus cattle, with three generations of the Miller family actively involved in the day-to-day operation.
