El-Bar breeds Percheron horses in Ronks, PA, in Lancaster County and the Susquehanna Valley near Lancaster. El-Bar has been raising Percheron horses for more than a decade, holds membership in recognized equine associations, and ensures that all breeding stock undergoes routine health screenings including evaluations for inherited conditions and regular veterinary care.

Each foal is raised in a pasture-based environment with access to shelter, and receives daily handling from weaning onward to foster gentle temperaments and confident socialization. The farm’s rotating pastures and loafing sheds help promote strong bone development while minimizing stress. Their training program follows traditional draft-horse practices with patient groundwork to develop both strength and calm confidence, and older horses are introduced to light draft work to hone their skills.
