David Miller

David Miller breeds Percheron horses in Holland Patent, NY, Oneida County and the Mohawk Valley near Utica. He has been raising draft horses for more than a decade and holds membership in the Percheron Horse Association of America, with all breeding stock undergoing regular health screening.

His horses live on open pasture and in roomy stalls, receiving daily turnouts and hands-on handling from weaning onward. The farm’s approach prioritizes gentle socialization and a calm environment around people and other animals.

Several of Miller’s Percherons have placed in local draft horse shows, reflecting steady progress in temperament and conformation. The operation dates back to a family farm tradition that values patient handling and respect for each horse’s natural behavior. Foals are introduced to basic halter training early and follow a nutrition plan based on pasture grazing and a balanced grain ration. Routine veterinary inspections and farrier visits support long-term soundness and maturity.
