David E. Miller

David E. Miller, Percheron horses, Shreve, OH, is based in Wayne County and the northeastern Ohio region near Canton. He has bred Percherons for more than twenty years and maintains memberships in national draft horse associations, with annual veterinary exams, joint x-rays and genetic screening to support sound breeding. His farm began as a small family operation and has grown to include eight broodmares and young stallions raised with individual attention.

Foals are introduced to halters and human handling within days of birth and enjoy daily turnout in paddocks surrounded by mature trees. Stalls open to views of rolling fields and are cleaned daily with fresh bedding to keep surroundings dry. A program of seasonal hoof trimming, dental checks and vaccinations follows guidelines from trusted veterinarians. Clients often comment on the calm, trainable nature of Miller’s horses, and several have earned ribbons at nearby draft horse fairs.
