Darrell Ray

Darrell Ray and Rose Mary Wagler, Percheron horses, Loogootee, IN in Martin County and the Midwest near Evansville. They have more than two decades of experience breeding Percheron horses and follow guidelines set by the Percheron Horse Association of America. All breeding stock receives annual Coggins testing for equine infectious anemia, dental and farrier care, and regular veterinary health checks. Their horses live in mixed pasture turnout with shelter access and are introduced to groundwork and light harness training from an early age to support calm temperaments. Their farm features rotational grazing paddocks and a well-ventilated barn facility.

They host quarterly driving clinics for new owners and collaborate with a local therapeutic riding center in Evansville to lend gentle horses for riders. A recent owner noted that their clear communication and attentive updates eased the transition of a young Percheron into a family farm setting.
