Dan Kauffman

Dan Kauffman, Percheron horses, Bonduel, WI, is based in Shawano County and northeast Wisconsin near Green Bay. He has more than ten years of experience breeding draft horses according to American Percheron Society standards, with regular health screenings and conformation evaluation for all breeding stock.

Foals grow up around the family home, where they learn daily handling and light groundwork before weaning. Each mare and stallion enjoys turnout on well‐drained pastures with shelters, while structured socialization helps develop their calm temperaments.

Dan’s background as a farrier informs meticulous hoof care and routine trimming schedules for optimal soundness. The farm’s rolling fields and classic post‐and‐board barns create a nurturing environment where each foal receives individual attention. Many of Dan’s horses excel in light farm work, trail driving and educational demonstrations at area schools and fairs.
