CR Ranch

CR Ranch, Dorper sheep, Tecumseh, OK, is located in Pottawatomie County and the Great Plains near Oklahoma City. Cindy and Randy Humphrey have more than a decade of experience raising Dorper sheep under the guidelines of the national Dorper Sheep Society and perform regular health screenings to support herd well-being. Lambs are raised on open pasture and learn to interact with the family through daily handling and supervised turnout, promoting calm temperaments and adaptability.

The ranch sits on land farmed by the Humphrey family since the early 1990s, with a focus on sustainable grazing and low-stress husbandry practices. Each sheep receives individualized attention from weaning through maturity, including tailored nutrition plans and shelter adjustments during seasonal changes. Testimonies from local fiber artists note the consistent quality of the wool and the sheep’s gentle nature. Breeding selections prioritize structural soundness and maternal instincts to support healthy lambing seasons.
