Cornerstone Farms

Cornerstone Farms raises Dorper sheep in Hartselle, AL, in north Alabama and the Huntsville area. The farm has been breeding Dorpers for over a decade with membership in the American Dorper Sheep Breeders Society and routinely conducts health screenings for parasites and footrot. Lambs are raised on pasture with daily handling to ensure they are accustomed to human interaction from an early age.

Adult sheep graze freely across rotational paddocks and are supplemented with hay during winter months to support consistent growth and wool quality. The farm’s approach to husbandry emphasizes natural selection and strong maternal traits, reflecting a commitment to sustainability rooted in its long history on this land. Several rams from Cornerstone Farms have placed at regional agriculture fairs, demonstrating their robust build and adaptability to Alabama’s changing seasons. Breeding stock is selected for temperament and structural soundness to maintain flock health for years to come.
