Connor State College Farm

Connor State College Farm raises registered Santa Gertrudis cattle in Warner, Oklahoma, in the heart of eastern Oklahoma about 18 miles southwest of Muskogee. Stetson May serves as the farm's assistant manager and show team coach, overseeing the day-to-day care of the herd alongside the broader farm staff.

The campus farm operates across 350 acres of fenced pastures, where cattle are developed and worked through artificial insemination and embryo transfer programs. The college also holds a separate 1,300-acre research ranch south of Warner, giving the program access to native and introduced grasslands well-suited to beef production in the region. The registered cowherd includes Santa Gertrudis alongside Angus and Simmental cattle, with all livestock enterprises integrated directly into student coursework and hands-on laboratory work.

The Santa Gertrudis program at Connors has a documented show record, including a 2011 National Champion heifer calf at the Dixie National and an International Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis bull exhibited at the Houston Livestock Show in 2013.
