The breeding program centers on proven A.I. sires rather than unproven new genetics, with the Cibulas preferring bulls whose real-world performance is well documented before introducing them to the cowherd. That philosophy has produced cattle that have drawn attention well beyond Iowa, including the Reserve National Champion Pen of 3 Gelbvieh bulls at the 2025 National Western Stock Show in Denver — a pen sired by a donor cow raised on the farm. The operation also earned Reserve Grand Champion Bull and Champion Iowa Bull honors at the Iowa State Fair, and a bull consigned to the 2026 Breeder's Choice Purebred Gelbvieh futurity at Cattlemen's Congress in Oklahoma City earned Runner Up honors.
