Christy Carr

Christy Carr, Percherons, Willow Springs, MO, in the Ozarks region near Springfield, has been breeding sturdy draft horses for over 15 years. She is a member of the Percheron Horse Association and follows comprehensive health and soundness testing before placing youngstock.

Horses grow up in a pasture-based setting where they learn early to interact calmly with people and other farm animals. Her breeding philosophy focuses on temperament, strength and adaptability to light farm work or driving. Several of her foals have gone on to earn performance ribbons at local agricultural fairs. Visitors often comment on the gentle nature of her stock and the thoughtful care evident in their training routines. Her small family-run farm has operated since the early 2000s with a focus on keeping strong maternal lines.
