Cher-Bo

Cher-Bo, Percheron horses, Faribault, MN, Rice County and southern Minnesota near Minneapolis. Robert Matthies has been raising draft horses for over a decade and is a member of the Percheron Horse Association. The farm's breeding stock undergoes routine health screening, conformation evaluation, hip and eye examinations, and yearly rotational deworming.

They grow up on 50 acres of rolling pasture with open shelter and daily turnout. Foals are handled by Robert Matthies and part-time staff from birth and spend time in shaded arenas for gentle early training. The operation follows a natural hoof care approach and a balanced nutrition plan tailored to each horse's developmental stage.

A number of Cher-Bo foals have gone on to participate in community driving demonstrations, local 4-H events, and therapy programs in nearby towns. Families appreciate the patient, intentional handling and the focus on building strong, confident horses from the ground up.
