Butterflybengal

Butterflybengal is a small, home-based Bengal cat cattery run by Vickie Addison in Old Windsor, Berkshire, conveniently situated near the M25 and M4 and within easy reach of Windsor and the wider Thames Valley area. The cattery has been active since 2015, when the program grew from its first Bengal, Leo — a golden rosetted stud imported from Canada — whose markings and temperament shaped the direction of the breeding lines that followed.

Registered with TICA and part of its voluntary responsible breeder programme, Butterflybengal is a well-regarded source for Bengal kittens in Berkshire and the surrounding Home Counties. Health testing is a central part of how the cattery is run: all adult cats are screened annually for HCM, and the lines are tested clear of PRA-b, PKDef, and PKD. No queen is paired before reaching twelve months of age and clearing her HCM screen.

The cats live as part of the family household rather than in a separate facility, with a dedicated temperature-controlled nursery for newborns. Kittens are handled daily from birth, raised alongside children and a family dog, and are microchipped before leaving for their new homes. Several of the queens have earned Champion and Grand Champion titles at TICA shows, reflecting the attention given to type and coat alongside temperament.
