Bryan Hagen

Bryan Hagen breeds sturdy Percheron horses on a family-run farm in Kenyon, MN, in southeast Minnesota near Rochester. He has been breeding Percheron horses for more than a decade and holds membership in the Percheron Horse Association, with routine health screenings and genetic checks for all breeding stock.

Each horse is raised on nutrient-rich pasture and enjoys daily handling by family members to encourage a calm yet alert disposition from foal stage onward. The operation balances traditional draft horse husbandry with thoughtful socialization, ensuring animals are comfortable with farm machinery, light riding and community demonstrations. Several of the farm’s Percheron geldings and mares have participated in local parades and support therapeutic riding programs for veterans and children.

Stationary loafing sheds, roomy shelters and seasonal turnouts protect horses from extreme weather, while foals are gently introduced to community life and basic groundwork. Careful record keeping of lineage, health histories and performance traits helps maintain consistency in temperament, strength and confirmation across generations.
