Brook Ridge
Brook Ridge Percheron horses, Newaygo, MI, are located in Newaygo County and the West Michigan lakeshore near Grand Rapids. Mark and Christine Kulikamp are recognized members of the American Percheron Horse Association and have been breeding Percheron horses for more than ten years. All foals undergo soundness evaluations, genetic screening for inherited disorders, and regular veterinary care from experienced equine practitioners.
Their farm practices include pasture-based living, daily handling of foals, and gradual introduction to farm equipment to build confidence. Brook Ridge Percherons have placed in local fair events and reflect the farm’s multigenerational commitment to gentle temperament and physical strength. Colts and fillies are weaned gradually and introduced to ground work by six months. In winter months, horses enjoy heated water stations, insulated stalls, and daily hoof inspections to maintain health.
