Boydsbengals

Boydsbengals, run by Melody Boyd, has been breeding bengal cats in Richmond Hill, Georgia since 2006, about 30 minutes from Savannah.

Registered with both TICA and CFA, the cattery is the only one in Georgia inspected and licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. The program places a consistent emphasis on healthy cats with clear coats, sweet temperaments, and pronounced rosetted patterning across a range of colors, including brown, silver, snow, blue, and charcoal.

The show record at Boydsbengals is notable within the CFA. The cattery produced CFA's first male and first female Distinguished Merit bengals, CFA's Best of Breed bengal for both the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 show seasons, and the first bengal to earn the Grand Champion of Distinction title in CFA. Melody has also been an active member of CFA's Bengal Breed Council since bengals were accepted into the association in 2016.

Kittens stay with the cattery until 12 weeks of age and are vetted, dewormed, and socialized with children and other pets before going to their new homes.
