Bagley Farms, Inc.
Bagley Farms raises purebred Braunvieh cattle in the rolling hill country of Cohutta, Georgia, near Dalton at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia. Tim and Blake Bagley operate the farm, which got its start in commercial cattle before pivoting entirely to Braunvieh seedstock after a crossbreeding trial in 1992 demonstrated the breed's standout performance.
The herd includes both purebred and percentage Braunvieh as well as registered Angus females, and the farm offers both black and polled Braunvieh alongside traditional-type animals. Females are treated as the foundation of the program, supported by a deliberate embryo transfer program designed to expand the quality of the cowherd across generations. Herd sires are selected with calving ease and performance as primary criteria.
In 2006, the Braunvieh Association of America recognized Bagley Farms as New Breeder of the Year. The farm also participates in the University of Georgia bull test and the Georgia Cattlemen's HERD program — among the only operations in those evaluations running Braunvieh cattle. Those looking for Braunvieh cattle for sale in Georgia will find a program with a long-standing focus on quality genetics over volume.
