Ashland Farm

Ashland Farm, Cheviot sheep, Singers Glen, VA, in the Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg, has raised healthy lambs since 2010. It participates in the American Cheviot Sheep Society and maintains scrapie genotype testing to meet breed health standards.

Health screening for joint disorders and parasite control protocols help support strong and long lived animals. Lambs graze on mixed grass pastures and receive daily handling to encourage friendly temperaments and easy adaptation to farm life. The operation rotates pastures to preserve soil health and keep animals on fresh forage.

The flock’s fleece is known for a lively crimp and resilient texture, making it well suited for hand spinning and craft projects. The two sisters behind the farm have years of small scale livestock experience and often receive feedback on the calm demeanor of their flock. Seasonal availability aligns with natural lambing cycles and allocations are announced in advance.
