Ammon Wengerd

Ammon Wengerd breeds Percheron horses in Millersburg, OH, in Holmes County and the Amish Country near Cleveland. He has been breeding registered Percheron mares and stallions for more than a decade, maintaining membership in the Percheron Horse Association and conducting regular health evaluations including joint and cardiac assessments on all stock.

His horses are raised on pasture with daily turnout, receive early handling to encourage calm temperaments and live in a mixed herd for social enrichment. Several of his foals have gone on to win performance ribbons at county fairs and community plowing matches. The farm’s open barns and timber-frame stables reflect his family’s generations of draft horse tradition.
