5StarRags is a family-owned ragdoll cattery in Hollister, California, about an hour south of San Jose and just south of Gilroy. Karen Walsh founded the cattery in 2011, a path rooted in her years of volunteering at a local animal shelter, where hands-on experience raising orphaned kittens sparked a lasting connection with the ragdoll breed.

The program has grown from its original five founding cats into multiple generations, with lines drawn from well-regarded show catteries. All breeding cats are DNA tested, and 5StarRags holds memberships in TICA, CFA, RFCI, and RFW. The cattery actively participates in TICA shows, using the show ring as a way to evaluate cats against the breed standard.

Kittens are raised in-home alongside the family and go to new homes between 11 and 14 weeks, already spayed or neutered, vet-checked, vaccinated, and wormed. Colors available include seal and blue, in bicolor, mitted, colorpoint, and lynx patterns.
