Alaine is a full-blooded Highland born right here on Four Caves Farm. Her sire is Ewan of Highland Heritage-an import from Canada whose lines go back to the original Scottish Herd books (AHCA#60,642), and her dam is CP4 (or Cutie Pie) who was bred on Chestnut Ridge Funny Farm-Yes, the very farm that just sent a Highland to live at Busch Gardens. She is what people would call the ULTIMATE HIGHLAND CALF.

Alaine has all the qualities these "bundles of fluff" are known for; with a thick, shaggy black 🖤 coat that also carries the WILD-TYPE gene, those oversized eyes, and a colorful and out of control "dossan" accenting her face. All this and "in your pocket" friendly as well. Just as happy with a scratch as a treat!

Our calves are dam-raised, but also socialized simultaneously in the field with multiple daily doses of people-time. During weaning the calves are already calm and confident with their easy going temperaments. They are halter started (mostly using the pressure and release method), introduced to standing tied, and have been trailer loaded several times, so they are more manageable to work with in their new homes and surroundings.

Alaine is weaned, and ready for deposit. However, she is in training , and it will be a few more weeks until she ready for her new home.
