I'd grown up with dogs among other animals and knew it would be a large breed or none at all:). At 17 I became the owner of our first Berner, Kenia. Two brothers joined the effort and over the years we’ve been striving to learn more about health testing, nutrition, and diversifying bloodlines. Not to mention how environmental factors including chemical stressors are affecting this breed’s general health, lifespan and bone structure… We also realized the importance of COI and are happy that Watson and Inka both have extremely low score. It’s a journey, but we enjoy learning and applying the knowledge we glean. We are indebted to the many breeders we’ve learned to know over the years for all they’ve shared with us...socialization techniques, supplementing, and so much more.
A shoutout to our faithful vet, Dr. Johnny Weiss, at Middletown Veterinary Hospital as well as Dr. Weeman of Central Shores Veterinary services. Big thanks to them for playing there part in keeping our dogs happy and healthy, providing pre-breeding exams and so much more expertise. Also thanks to Select Breeders Services for there help with reproductive-related services! Without each one, we would not be where we are!
The best part of breeding, is seeing many of our pups go on to serve as therapy dogs. Wether certified or not, they fill a much-needed spot. When I'm not caring for the dogs and puppies or doing research, you will probably find me with working with flowers. As a small-scale flower farmer, I enjoy raising beauty for others-chemical free!
We are a Christian family located in Elkton MD near the Chesapeake Bay.
