Unclassified Morph
An unclassified morph Tokay gecko is a Tokay gecko with a color or pattern expression that has not been placed confidently into a named captive morph. The animal may come from an uncertain pairing, show an incomplete expression of known traits, or simply lack breeder documentation. Unclassified is a useful reptile-keeping term because Tokay morph naming can move faster than careful proof of inheritance.
Good husbandry remains the same regardless of the label: vertical space, snug hides, reliable heat gradients, nighttime activity cover, and humidity that supports clean shedding. For breeders, the honest route is to keep detailed pairing notes, photograph development, and avoid selling a gecko as a proven morph until inheritance and parentage support the claim. For keepers, health and temperament usually matter more than a speculative name.
