Endler

An Endler guppy label usually refers to Endler-type livebearers, Poecilia wingei influence, or hybrids between Endlers and domestic guppies. In a guppy catalog, it often means small, very active fish with bright blocks of orange, green, black, and blue on a slimmer body than many show guppies. Pure Endler status can be difficult to prove unless the line has careful history, so the name should be read with that nuance.

Endler-type guppies thrive in active planted tanks and often breed readily, producing fry that need cover if adults remain in the same aquarium. Keepers who care about conservation-style purity should avoid mixing uncertain Endler lines with labeled pure stocks. For ordinary community aquariums, the main concerns are stable water, preventing overpopulation, and choosing tankmates that will not harass small, quick males.
