Jungle
Locality
Jungle is the hobby name for Morelia spilota cheynei, the carpet python of the rainforests of northeastern Queensland, Australia. Jungles are one of the smaller carpet python forms, usually around 5 to 6 feet as adults, and are known for high-contrast black and yellow or gold patterns. Young jungles are often nervous and quick to strike, and many calm down with steady, regular handling. Many animals sold as jungles are crossed with coastal or other forms, so keep lineage notes with each snake.
