Carpet Python

Albino

Morph

Albino carpet pythons lack black pigment, so they show bright yellow, orange and white with pink-red eyes. Albino is a simple recessive trait, and the captive line traces back to a single wild-caught Darwin carpet python found near Darwin, Australia, in the 1990s. Hatchlings are often orange and turn brighter yellow as they mature. Many albinos now carry Irian Jaya, coastal or other carpet python ancestry, so keep the locality or cross and lineage notes with each snake.
