Normal
A normal boa constrictor is a boa with the expected non-morph appearance for the species or breeding population: warm brown or tan ground color, darker dorsal saddles, side markings, and a natural-looking tail that may show richer red or rust tones. In the pet and breeder world, normal often means the animal is not being sold as a visual morph, though it may still come from a particular locality background or carry hidden recessive genes if its ancestry is known.
Normal boas are valuable reference animals because they show the pattern and body structure that many morphs modify. Keepers should focus on temperament, feeding consistency, adult size expectations, and enclosure planning rather than treating normal as plain or lesser. For breeding, a normal-looking boa can still matter if it is het for albino, anery, leopard, or another recessive trait, but those claims should be supported by parentage rather than assumption.
