Ghost
A ghost boa constrictor is usually understood as a combination of hypomelanistic and anerythristic traits, producing a snake with reduced black pigment and reduced red or orange color. Many ghost boas have a softer gray, silver, tan, or muted lavender appearance, with saddle markings that look cleaner and cooler than those of many normal boas. Because boa morph names can vary by breeder line, ghost should be read as a practical visual and genetic label rather than a single universal strain.
Husbandry follows normal boa constrictor standards: secure caging, measured heat, appropriate humidity, and enough space for a strong-bodied snake that may live for decades. Breeders working with ghost projects need to track the hypo and anery components separately, especially when combining them with albino, jungle, motley, or other morphs. Buyers should confirm which anery line and hypo line are involved when that information affects future pairings.
