Willow Springs Dachshunds

Willow Springs Dachshunds raises miniature and standard wirehaired dachshunds on a family farm in Greenville, Georgia, roughly an hour southwest of Atlanta. Cyndi Branch founded the program after living in Germany, where a love of the wirehaired variety took root and eventually led to importing dogs directly from European kennels.

The program holds AKC Breeder of Merit status, and all dogs carry AKC registration; imported dogs are also registered with the kennel clubs of their countries of origin. Foundation stock traces to European champion lines, and breeding decisions weigh temperament, conformation, and health in equal measure. The goal is a dachshund that can fulfill the working purpose the breed was developed for while also fitting naturally into family life.

The dogs live in the home and on the surrounding 90-acre farm, giving them space to run, hunt, and socialize daily. Puppies are born and raised in the house, staying with the program until at least ten weeks to support healthy development.
