Wies Limousin

Wies Limousin Ranch has been raising Limousin cattle in Missouri since the mid-1970s, with roots that run deep in the state's beef cattle community. Founded by Robert "Bob" Wies and his wife Euvonne in Saint Charles, the operation grew from a weekend property into a full-time ranch with a herd that expanded to nearly 200 mother cows. The farm raises its own alfalfa and grass hay and runs its cattle on fescue, a practical approach the Wies crew has long held as a true test of an animal's durability and working merit.

The program joined the North American Limousin Foundation as members in 1978 and became one of the more recognized Limousin operations in the region, with bulls, females, LimFlex cattle, and donor cows all part of its genetics program. Located in the greater St. Louis area of eastern Missouri, Wies Limousin has built a track record in both the show ring and the commercial cattle market, earning induction into the Missouri Limousin Breeders Hall of Fame in 1998. The operation has always emphasized animals that can perform in the pasture as well as they do on the halter, a philosophy that has guided its selection of Limousin cattle for sale in Missouri for decades.
