Whites Collies

Whites Collies raises AKC rough collies in Joplin, Missouri, in the heart of southwest Missouri near Springfield. Elizabeth White and her husband David have been breeding collies since at least 2004, when they brought home their first collie and quickly discovered a shared commitment to the breed.

All dogs are raised inside the home, with an emphasis on everyday socialization and training from an early age. The program keeps litter numbers intentionally small — typically no more than two litters per year — so each puppy receives individual attention before going to its new family. Dogs in the breeding program are trained alongside their puppies, and at least one stud dog has earned his Canine Good Citizen title through that process.

Health is a central focus: breeding males are tested for collie eye anomaly (CEA), and the program actively seeks normal-eyed and non-carrier status in its dogs. The lineage has produced therapy dogs, service dogs, working cattle dogs, and family companions across the region.
