West Falls Family Pups

West Falls Family Pups, run by Jeremy and Rebekah Schelhaas, raises golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers just three miles west of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in the eastern edge of the Great Plains. The operation has been active since 2014, and the program expanded when the Schelhaases took over Schelhaas Family Puppies, a family kennel with more than 25 years of history behind it.

Parent dogs in the program carry AKC registration, and several have OFA and PENN Hip certifications for hip health. Some golden retriever lines trace back to English Cream ancestry, including a stud with roots in Australia and Ukraine. Champion hunting lineage appears on the Labrador side of the program as well. The kennel is in the process of completing a new temperature-controlled facility designed specifically for the dogs.
